Office of the Principal
Mrs. Lucinda Smith brings over three decades of experience in education as a 5th, 3rd and 6th grade teacher. She then moved into administration as an Assistant Principal and Middle School Principal at Rogers ISD. In the 2024-2025 school year she will step into the role as Principal at Rice Junior High.
Mrs. Smith holds her master degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University and studied her undergrad at Southwest Texas State University now known as Texas State University. Mrs. Smith is happily married for 25 years to Keith Smith who is the Executive Manager of Fort Bend County Fair. They have three children Kody, Cheyenne and Marissa, who is completing her final year at Oklahoma State University.
As an educator, Mrs. Smith's goal is to provide each student with a safe, positive and meaningful learning environment that enhances the expectation of high achievement. She and her family are dedicated to this district and community and believes that together we can achieve more.
