Hello Rice community!
I’m honored to serve as the new Principal of Rice Junior High School. As an experienced educator and leader, I am excited to join a district that values relationships, academic growth, and community partnership.
I began my journey in education as a substitute teacher and have since served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, dean of students, assistant principal, associate principal, and principal. These roles have shaped my passion for creating safe, engaging, and academically challenging environments where all students can succeed.
I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin, and I’m committed to using that knowledge to support our students, staff, and families. My leadership style centers on collaboration, high expectations, and a deep belief that every child deserves an excellent education. I look forward to building strong relationships with our students, staff, and families as we work together to make Rice Junior High a place where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
This year, our motto is #RisewithRice—a call to action for all of us to rise together in excellence, unity, and purpose. I look forward to partnering with our students, families, staff, and the entire Rice community to make this a year of growth, connection, and achievement.
